About Me
Andrew Himes is a Seattle writer, director and producer. In 2004 he founded the Voices Education Project, which brings the voices and stories of veterans and civilian witnesses to a wider audience in classrooms and on the Internet via social media. The first film he produced was Voices in Wartime, a documentary that uses poetry to explore the trauma of war. He was co-editor of the Voices in Wartime Anthology, and director of the short film on PTSD, Beyond Wartime. In the early 90s he helped pioneer Microsoft's embrace of the Internet by managing the company's first web team, and in the 80s was founding editor of MacTech Journal, the premiere Macintosh programming magazine.
